2. Offense - Puck Role
You are in an offense with the puck role anytime you have the puck on your stick. This module covers all tactics and options available to you when you are the puck carrier.
The pillar for the puck carrier is what you do (or don’t do) immediately upon your first touch of the puck. Having a good first touch will set the foundation for optimal decision-making.
From there, you must typically decide whether to pass the puck to a teammate, shoot the puck, or carry the puck. When carrying the puck, you can typically look to either make a puck protection play, a play to escape pressure or a play to attack the defender 1v1.
