8. 50-50 Pucks - Puck Role
When the puck is loose and you are the closest player on your team to it, you are in the “puck” role.
Tactically, this is one of the simplest areas of the game to play, because you don’t really have any other options aside from executing on your tactical pillars.
Those pillars for the “puck” role in loose puck situations are to sprint as fast as possible to the loose puck, and then either seal your opponent off from the puck or pin them to the boards.
