9. 50-50 Pucks - Support Role
This is often one of the most misunderstood roles in the game of hockey. It is imperative that each support player reacts quickly and efficiently to loose pucks in all three zones on the ice.
Your job is not to sit back and watch the puck battle take place. Instead, we want to actively work to overload the area of the ice the loose puck is in, creating a favorable situation where we outnumber our opponents. The team that is usually able to be “quick to 3” around the puck faster will end up winning more 50-50 pucks.
