4.2.1 - Protect the Puck - Mohawk
1. Mohawk
Use a mohawk to spin your backside into your opponent. Lead with your hips in front of the puck. Maintain an “ass to hands” position on your opponent.
2. Pull the Puck
Use a pull, curl or drag to move the puck either out wide away from your opponent’s stick or into your feet so it is shielded by your hips.
3. Double-Touch
Underhandle the puck. Double-touch on the forehand or backhand with little taps instead of trying to stickhandle. You have the option to go to one hand for added protection & range.
